Weekend walk {spring has sprung}

Sunday morning dawned bright and chilly (I was up at 6.15am!). Whilst worthier types were gearing up at the start line of the Brighton Marathon, we were heading out to Birling Gap further along the East Sussex Coast. It was one of those gorgeous bright days that pack a windy punch and being on top of the Seven Sisters chalky cliffs meant there was no escaping the breeze.

If you’ve never been walking on the South Downs I really think you are missing out.  This weekend there were plenty of newborn lambs and calves; the views out over the English Channel were breath taking and the undulating route littered with rabbits (Milo would have loved to have chased them – probably over the cliff edge). One of the best bits about walking on the South Downs though is that you are never too far from a pub. We stopped in at the Tiger Inn in East Dean as our reward for a great Sunday roast after our walk. What more could you ask for?

  1. I am very impressed that you get up so early on a Sunday morning:)

    Regarding Formex - It was my first time there in Sep 2011. I especially liked the presentations on trends and the styling in the main hall. I will be going again in September. You should come!
